Hardware bottleneck
« on: February 04, 2015, 09:19:07 AM »

I would like to know which part of the hardware is a bottleneck for slow Scala scripts? It is completely clear, that it strongly depends on the way that the scripts are build. But, as one generally can say that a 3D game needs a good GPU, one should also be able to say which of these hardware items are mainly used when there are Scala scripts that display 20-30 text- and image elements on one page.
  • CPU
  • GPU
  • RAM
  • HDD - can Scala utilize the whole potential of a SSD?

Because now it is the case, that when a particular Scala script is started, it takes couple of seconds to display all of those 20-30 text- and image elements. I must admit, that the elements are added in a "Group", such that all of them appear together. That is why "Sequence" is not an option.
