Embedding web clip - user credentials not passed through
« on: September 16, 2016, 03:20:14 AM »
Hi there,

I am trying to add a web clip, and have provided the URL as well as user credentials. However, when testing in Designer or after publishing, just the login page of the target URL appears.
Have tried this with different URLs/domains - all the same. Any idea?

Regards,
Axel

This is a problem I am also trying to solve. I have a client with a Power BI dashboard (Office 365) that he'd like displayed. I also have some web sites on our intranet I'd like to display. Those require authentication as well.

It's been a while, hope you have found a solution. One solution that might be best: talk to your Scala rep, see about getting the "Web Auto-Login Script". I think this might be necessary for what you are after. It does take some work to set up but seems to be one way I have seen that allows the script to enter a username/password if a webclip process isn't working properly.
