Update Player Time
« on: January 18, 2011, 08:21:34 PM »
I really hope you all can help...We are installing our scala players and I am wandering if there is a Maintenance Job to update the Clock...so far we have about two time zones and three different times on about 64 machines.  :-\

Install NTP, save yourself a bucket load of ulcers. Then all you need to worry about is your timezone.

Our favourite is  the meinberg windows ntpd. Synced to a couple of our ntp servers. It's on the xp embedded image we use, so
it was configure once, replicate many.

Now, if only we could programmatically configure the scala transmission server thing.

The NTP service built into the OS also works just fine.  [a bit of the PITA to configure--however once you have it configured you are done]
